Here is the page for my baby, The Dysfunctionals. This huge idea, that will probably take me years and several books to write, is about a group of teenagers coming into their own. Outcast teenagers, who are all dysfunctional in their own way. How do they deal with that? How do they deal with each other? That's what you'll find out.
Main characters:
Jayden Booth: Cocky, sarcastic, witty. Can be secretive but wears his heart on his sleeve.
Ayla Cassidy: Bitchy as heck, often very rude. Doesn't give a crap about what anyone says or thinks about what she does.
Elijah Torres: Smart, observant, loyal. Why is he friends with someone like Ayla again?
Tamar O'Connor: Pretty, silent, girly. There are some issues behind the bubbly facade.
Ariel Montgomery: Tough, strong, tiny. She looks like a pixie, but fights like a warrior.
Travis Bennet: Silent, mysterious, shy. Will someone ever get through to him? What happened there?
Lois Mackenzie: Honest, talkative, foot in mouth disease. She doesn't know quite how to deal with people.
Micah Summers: Mysterious, tough, kind. A complete conundrum. Who is he really?
The narrator: a girl/young woman who seems to know the characters quite well. She claims to be their friend. But who is she really?
To give just a little taste, I have a playlist with songs that are appropriate for various characters and moments. Take a listen, speculate and enjoy!
